Man Dies In Traffic Collision

Man Dies In Traffic Collision

Today, at about 1:03 pm, Azusa Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Encanto Parkway,  north of Foothill Boulevard, in regards to an injury traffic accident.

Upon their arrival, the officers found an un-responsive 57 year old male from Arcadia, who had been involved in a solo-vehicle traffic accident. The male had been driving a white Toyota Tacoma, which appears to have collided into a tree, located in the south end of Encanto Park.  Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and treated the male. He was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for further medical treatment. Unfortunately, the male was pronounced deceased by the hospital's staff.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, and it does not appear there were any other vehicles involved in the accident. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The Azusa Police Department is seeking the assistance of any persons who may have information or witnessed this accident. Please contact us the Azusa Police Department's Traffic Bureau at (626) 812-3200. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may click on the "Anonymous Tip" logo at the top of our website.
