The Azusa Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on February 21st, 2016 at about 2:20 AM.
A 24 year old male victim and his friends were congregating in an area near the 200 block E Sixth Street in Azusa. A red vehicle stopped near the group, and a passenger in the vehicle fired several shots in the direction of the victim and his friends. A bullet struck the victim on one of his arms. He was treated at a local hospital for his wound but it does not appear to be life threatening. The vehicle was last seen driving away in a westerly direction.
