Residences Burglarized On New Years Eve

During the hours of 10:00 PM December 31, 2014 and 1:30 AM January 1, 2015, three homes were burglarized in the same Azusa neighborhood. Two of the homes were in the 200 block of W. Kirkwall Road and a third in the 100 block of Cindy Lou Court. A fourth home was burglarized in the county area of Azusa, in close proximity to the other three, which is being investigated by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, San Dimas Station.

During the three burglaries in the City of Azusa, unknown suspects entered through unlocked back windows. Once inside, the homes were ransacked and the property stolen. Although the home owners are still inventorying what was taken, we know at least three firearms and jewelry is among the list of stolen property. The firearms were secured in a safe which the burglar(s) pried open.

There is no suspect information available at this time. Anyone with information about these crimes should contact the Azusa Police Department immediately at (626) 812-3200.

The Azusa Police Department encourages residents to lock all doors and windows prior to leaving their homes, as well as exterior gates and fences to prevent easy access to the back and side yards. Residents should also watch out for one another and immediately report any suspicious people, vehicles or noises in or about their neighbors homes.
