Shooting

On April 05, 2017 at approximately 5:43 p.m., Azusa Police Officers responded to a call of multiple gunshots fired in the area of the 500 Block E. Foothill Boulevard, Azusa. Upon officer arrival, officers learned that a shooting had occurred in the area, possibly resulting in at least one male victim being shot. However, suspect(s) had fled the area in a vehicle prior to officer arrival.

No victim was initially located at the scene, though it was learned that an injured male had left the area in a vehicle prior to officer arrival.

The Azusa Police Department was later contacted by an area hospital advising that a male adult had been admitted to their emergency room with at least one gunshot wound. Detectives responded to the hospital to speak with the subject.

The investigation is ongoing. A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.
