The Azusa Police Department would like to Welcome Mountain Cove and Rainbow Ranch back home! To the evacuated areas of Mountain Cove and Rainbow Ranch, you will be able to return beginning at noon, today Friday 6/24. Officers will remain on-site to assist with re-population and will stay there until 6:30pm. They will be waiting for residents at the entrance of Mountain Cove and will be checking IDs or any other proof of residency in Mountain Cove. Rainbow Ranch, the horses will not be able to return until Saturday morning 6/25 at 8am. For any residents of Camp Williams and any other community in the canyon, we ask you to use Glendora Mountain Rd. which will re-open for residents only beginning at 12pm. Highway 39 will remain closed and the canyon will remain closed for recreation but will allow residents to return home.Thank you Azusa for all of your support and for cooperating with us during evacuations. For the Mountain Cove residents, we are very happy that we were able to accommodate escorts for your essential property yesterday and you all did an amazing job, which helped the operation run smoothly. In addition, we decided to use social media as a communication source with our community to keep you informed and up-to-date with accurate information straight from the source. Captain Fleming broadcasted his first Live Facebook video and continued to use that communication medium to update our residents.
