On Sunday,May 24th, 2015 at about 2:44 p.m., Azusa Police Department received a 911 call of a robbery which had occurred at a local pawn shop in the 1000 block of W. Gladstone Street in Azusa.
Patrol officers immediately responded and contacted the employees, who told them three male black suspects had entered the location, armed with handguns and ordered the employees to lie face down on the floor. The suspects then ransacked the location, and in the process of the robbery, ordered an employee to open the safe, while pointing a handgun at the employee. Another employee was kicked in the face by a suspect, causing the employee to suffer a broken nose.
As the robbery continued, a father entered the location with his young son. The father and child were ordered onto the ground by one of the suspects. As the suspects were leaving the location, one of them stole the child's iPod.
The suspects stole several handguns, rifles and a large amount of jewelry. They were seen entering a dark colored SUV, which might be a Saturn, and fled east on Gladstone Street.
The suspects are described as three male black adults, about 25 years of age, each about 6 feet tall, with athletic builds. One of the suspects was wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt and gray sweatpants while another suspect was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. The third suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt with a maroon hood and blue sweatpants.
