On July 29, 2019 at approximately 1439 hours, Azusa Police Officers were sent to the 300 block Viewcrest Dr. regarding suspicious subjects in the area. An alert resident saw several subjects near a suspicious vehicle and immediately notified Azusa Police dispatch. Responding officers were given the vehicle description on the vehicle which had left the area. An officer saw a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop.

During the investigation, the above four subjects were detained and miscellaneous stolen items were discovered inside the vehicle. Additionally, officers identified some of the property as having been taken during a residential burglary in the immediate vicinity of the stop. The stolen items were eventually identified by the victim of the burglary.

Additional stolen property found in the vehicle was recovered. It was also determined that the individuals had also burglarized additional residences, however those locations and/or victims have yet to be identified.

This investigation and arrests would not have been possible without the alertness of the original reporting party. The above listed individuals were arrested for residential burglary and possession of stolen property.Arrested were Austrell Williams, Age 19, of Los Angeles and three male juveniles ranging in age from 15-17 years.
