Thanks to an observant witness, two juveniles were arrested after vandalizing a block wall
Last night, at about 7:15, an observant citizen called to report several suspicious male juveniles were possibly vandalizing a block wall and sidewalk in the area of 400 S. Pasadena Ave. Azusa Police Officers quickly arrived, and with the help of the citizen, located the juveniles attempting to leave the area.
As the police officers approached the juveniles, they saw one of them was holding a spray paint can in his hand, and both juveniles had the same color paint on their hands.
A search of the area led officers to find fresh "tagging-style" graffiti in red paint on a block wall and sidewalk in the 400 block S. Pasadena Ave. Similar graffiti was also found at Gladstone Park. When confronted with this evidence, the juveniles admitted to vandalizing several walls and sidewalks.
Both juveniles were arrested for the vandalism and later released to their parents with a notice to appear in court.
