On December 18, 2015 at 11:05 p.m., police officers from the Azusa Police Department were dispatched to a stabbing that had occurred in the 300 block N. Soldano Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers located a victim suffering from stab wounds to his upper torso.
It appeared the victim, and at least one associate, were standing near the street when they were approached by an unknown number of male suspects. A fight started and the victim was stabbed during the altercation.
The department's detective bureau was notified an investigation is ongoing. The motive for the assault is not known. The victim, who is expected to survive, was treated for his injuries and transported to a nearby hospital.
