Online Predator Sentenced To Prison - Great Work By Azusa Police Detectives

On January 23rd, we posted an article on our website regarding the investigation of an online predator who had sexually assaulted 13 year-old females. The suspect was arrested by detectives of the Azusa Police Department, and a court date was scheduled. To read the original article, click here.
 
On February 17th, 2015, Steven Ernesto Alfaro (22 years old of Azusa) was in court, and pled guilty to one count of forcible rape, two counts of lewd acts with a child, and was sentenced to 14 years in state prison. Alfaro agreed to become a "3rd Strike" convicted felon, and will have to register as a sexual offender for the remainder of his life.
 
Due to the actions of the initial responding police officer, a swift and successful investigation by the Azusa Police Department's Detective Bureau, and the prosecution efforts of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Steven Ernesto Alfaro will not cause harm to any more of our community's children for a long time.
