Operation Gratitude

On May 24, 2017, Azusa Police Officer Philip Brock returned from his military deployment in Afghanistan. Chief Hunt, along with several officers, were present as Officer Brock's plane landed here in Southern California. After the ceremony, members of the department were approached by a representative from "Operation Gratitude." This non-profit and volunteer-driven organization delivers "First Responder Care Kits" to law enforcement officers, firefighters, military, wounded heroes, and emergency personnel. 

The mission of Operation Gratitude is to provide these kits as a way to say thank you for the services public safety professionals provide to the community and those in need. Operation Gratitude's goal is to thank every single first responder in our great nation. Annually, Operation Gratitude sends 200,000 + of these kits to as sent out 50,000 care kits to departments across the country. Since there inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 1,904,000 care packages.


These care kits contain items which are valuable to first responders during extended shifts due to emergencies and disasters.
