I live in the apartments looking back into the alley and heard a child screaming at the top of their lungsover and over for at least 15minutes. By the time i looked outside i could see 3 police vehicles a fire truck and ambulance. In the distance i could also see the police helicopter searching the the area just north, northwest of the scene. The small child was then forcefully strapped to a stretcher and taken by the ambulance. Is that child alright?

Hi David,

Thanks for asking, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. In regards to the incident you are referring to...

The teenager was transported to a hospital for a medical condition, which we are not allowed to discuss due to privacy and medical laws.

Unfortunately, some times medical personnel need to use soft restraints attached to a patient's limbs and the stretcher, in order to safely transport the patient to a medical facility. When a patient is resistent to this, it can sometimes appear traumatic or forceful in nature. Precautions are taken to make sure everyone is safe during a situation like this, with the ultimate goal of getting the patient the help they need.

I hope this answers your question.
