On October 25th, a bat was found injured in Azusa. The bat was transferred over to the LA County Department of Health, where it was found to have rabies.
The County Health Officer is warning that anyone who may have come into direct physical contact with this or any other bat see their doctor to be evaluated for possible post-exposure anti-rabies treatment.
