On Wednesday August 31, 2016 at about 10:26 PM, Azusa Police Officers responded to the area of Cerritos Ave. and Arrow Hwy, regarding a possible stabbing victim who had collapsed in the area. A lone victim, who had sustained multiple stab wounds, was located and treated at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Paramedics. After being stabilized, he was transported to an area hospital for advanced care. While his wounds were critical, the victim is expected to survive the assault.
From the initial investigation, it appears the injured victim was possibly left in the parking lot of the Oak Tree Shopping Center, after he exited a 1990's to 2000's, white Honda or Toyota. The victim then staggered to a nearby gas station, where he collapsed.
Currently, there is no suspect information and the exact location of where the assault occurred is unknown.
