On May 7th, 2014 at about 6:09 PM, the Azusa Police Department received a call of a vandalism in progress in which a male was breaking out windows to a business by throwing rocks through them. The business is located on the 900 Blk. W Foothill Blvd.
Officers arrived and searched the area and located the suspect. He was positively identified by witnesses to the incident. When Officers inspected the business, they found that nearly all the windows to the business had been broken, including the two front glass doors. Several large rocks were found inside the business. The damage was estimated to be approximately $6000. Nobody was inside the business when the incident occurred and no injuries were reported.
The suspect, David Firestine, a 32 year old transient, was arrested and charged with felony vandalism. He is currently being housed at the Azusa Police Department and his bail is set at $20,000. The motive for the vandalism is not known.
