Azusa Police Department Cadet Program

The Azusa Police Department is launching the Cadet Program in the Spring of 2024. The Azusa Police Cadet Program provides the unique opportunity for cadets to interact with public safety career professionals in the workplace to gain practical vocational experience, develop personal responsibility, and build good moral character. 

In order to participate in our cadet program, you must:

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA 
  • Ages: 14-20 (Parent or guardian's signature required)
  • Have no criminal record
  • Medical Clearance
  • Must pass a backgroundcheck
  • Complete an Orientation Training

To apply to participate in our cadet program, please follow the instructions below:

1. Submit application to the Azusa Police Department, located at 725 N. Alameda Ave. Azusa, 91702 or by e-mailing to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. * This application must be printed and filled out by hand by the Cadet Applicant. 

2. The Cadet Applicant will be contacted by a Cadet Post Advisor and scheduled for an interview. 

3. During the Cadet Applicant's interview, they will be asked a series of questions to gauge character. 

4. If the Cadet Applicant is successful during the interview, they will be given a background packet at the conclusion of the interview.

5. Complete all forms and collect required documents and return to the packet to the Azusa Police Department.
