On August 23rd, 2015 at about 12:30 AM Azusa Police Officers responded to the 200 Block of West First Street in Azusa, regarding a fight involving several subjects. Upon arrival, Officers located a 23 year old Azusa resident who was suffering from two stab wounds on his upper torso. The initial investigation revealed that the victim was walking in that area when the driver of a passing vehicle stopped and confronted him. They both began to fight and then two other passengers from the vehicle also began to assault the victim by kicking and punching him. The victim was stabbed twice by one of the suspects during the assault. The three suspects fled the location in the vehicle.
The victim was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
No arrests have been made and the motive is actively being investigated by Azusa Police Department Detectives.
