​On August 2, 2018 at 5:01 PM, Azusa Police Department Officers responded to a report of a traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on the 800 block of S Citrus Avenue. Los Angeles County Fire Department treated and transported an elderly male Covina resident to Pomona Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Upon preliminary investigation, it appears the elderly male was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when he fell into the roadway and was then struck by a passing motorist.

Neither alcohol nor cell phone usage are believed to be a factor in the collision at this time.
