Azusa Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

On March 31st, 2015, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a clerk from the Super 8 Motel at 117 N. Azusa Avenue, called 911 to report a robbery. The clerk told the dispatcher that two male suspects had forced their way into the office, and tied up the clerk. The suspects ransacked the office, taking cash and miscellaneous property, and fled from the scene. The clerk was able to get free and call the police.

Safety Tip: What Should You Do During A Robbery?

If you find yourself being the victim of a robbery inside a business, we hope you'll remember these helpful tips:

  • Comply with the suspect's demands. Do not argue, ask questions or agitate the suspect
  • Remember - it's only property. It can be replaced
  • Remain calm
  • Call 911 as soon as possible. Do not call friends or family first. Call the police

Any information you can give the police about the suspect's description, actions, voice and direction of travel will help in the investigation. Even if you believe it is something small, tell everything to the police officers.
